Hey!

My name is Jordan Tate Burrows, I’m a 22-year-old actress with experience in both film and stage work.

While I hail from Westchester, NY, I just graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A in acting from Syracuse University’s department of Drama.

I think that acting is a distinct art form in inspiring people to ‘see’ the truth of the world we live in. My goal as an artist is to collaborate with like-minded and adventurous individuals and companies in making projects that speak to who we are.

I have experience acting in classical theater, and in addition, I have also had the opportunity to participate in an array of contemporary works, as well.

This past winter, I have had the distinct pleasure of playing the role of Josie in Caryl Churchill’s play, The Skriker. I have also been in the original world premiere casts of A Wrinkle in Time musical, Paradise Ballroom, and Tell Them I’m Still Young at New York stage and film. In the fall of 2022, thanks to study abroad, I got to play a gender-bent Benedick in a workshop of Much Ado About Nothing while I trained at Shakespeare’s globe during the Autumn of 2022.

In addition to my theatre work, I have sought ways to engage my passion for film, as well.

Some of my films, like Final Cut (Ryan Bode), have streamed on worldwide platforms like Mometu and have also premiered at the university level as well. I was a stand in for the full season one of Sex Lives of College Girls on HBO Max and have done other stand in/background work thereafter.

I was asked by New York Stage and Film to be in a reading as a lead role to green light a new film in pre-production, which is to be directed by Tessa Blake. Several short films at Syracuse that I have been in the company of are in the post-production stage and have already premiered (happy to send you any of them, anytime :)).

I adore working on film because the entire set is working in a collaborative setting to produce a raw and visually explorative piece of work. While days can get long and grueling, we lean on each other to achieve the strongest and most truthful product as a team. As an artist, there’s not much more exciting than that.

A few fun facts about me: I’m self taught on guitar and piano, I’m a long-distance runner, an avid reader of fiction, I’m a twin (a jeopardy 100 question everyone likes to know), a mythology nerd, and I am a proud Aquarius!

This is totally not everything about me, so reach out whenever, I’d love to get to know more about you, too!

I’m always available to chat

thanks,

Jordan Tate Burrows
